History of Purple Dragon:

Purple Dragon was born in 1970 at 14A West bury Lane Belmont Trinidad, In 1975 Professor Jacob introduced his own Jiu Jitsu system known as Don Jitsu Ryu to Trinidad. He is the first Trinidadian and indeed the first person in the Caribbean to individually create his own Martial Arts style and put in place a system that has grown in tremendous leaps and bounds over the past thirty-five plus years.

Today, Purple Dragon is the longest lasting Martial Arts school in the Caribbean, with forty five (45) schools in over eleven countries, and  thousands of  students worldwide. Purple Dragon is the only Martial Arts school in the Caribbean to host numerous grand tournaments around the globe, most recently being the Canadian Grand Slam 2007 and the Cayman Island Grand Championships 2008.

Hosting a tournament of this nature takes a lot of detailed planning, coordination and execution. Purple Dragon has amassed decades  of international experience in the Martial Arts world and look forward to setting a motivational example for other sporting tournaments to come.
